The line graph compares the amount of wheat exported among 3 areas over the period of 15 years.
Overall, while the wheat exportation of European Community grew slightly, the opposite was true for other areas. Additionally, the figure of Canada experienced a wild fluctuation.
As can be seen from the graph, in 1985, Canada exported nearly 20M tonnes of wheat, compared to around 17M in European Community and 15M in Australia. In 1986, while the figures for Canada and EC fell moderately to around 17M and 14M, respectively, that of Australia rose gradually to 16M.
Over the next 2 years, the quantity of wheat that Canada exported soared, reaching the peak of 25M in 1988. Meanwhile, that of Australia witnessed a gradual decline by nearly 2M, and the figure for EC grew steadily by 1M.
Despite peaking at 25M, the Canada’s figure fell rapidly to under 15M after one year and then recovered, eventually rising to approximately 18M in 1990. Otherwise, in the last 2 years, that of EC kept growing significantly whereas that of Australia continued dropping minimally, reaching at about 21M and 13M, respectively.
