The bar graph gives information about various means of transportation used for commuting in a chosen European city in 1960, 1980 and 2000. Overall, while buses were the most preferable type of transport, cars were the least used ones by commuters in 1960.
In 1960, buses accounted for almost 40 percent of total transport, which were followed by tubes, rating under 30%. The same year, cars had the lowest proportion of just over 5%, while commuting by trains contributed almost 20%. In the second year given, there is a significant increase in the percentage of cars (about one-fifth), whereas buses experienced a decrease of about 10%. However, trains and tubes did not show a considerable increase or decline.
In 2000, cars became the key means of transportation, reaching the peak of over 35%, where buses showed a downward trend with 15%. While trains went down by 5%, tubes showed a little increase.
