The table illustrates the percentage of medical doctors in the populus, the number of healthcare beds for every 1000 individuals and the average stay in medical facilities in 3 countries,namely Austria, France and Sweeden starting from 1980 to 2000.
Overall, Sweden ranks the highest within all 3 catergories surveyed.Additionally, the number of patient beds witnessed an increase across 3 countries over the whole period.
Regarding Sweden, the country had a significantly higher physican to citizen ratio per 1000 capita,being intially 3.6 which was larger by 0.8 and 4.5 to that of France’s and Austria’s respectively.Over 20 years,the doctor to people percentage in Austria and Sweden experienced a slight increase, whereasin France it decreased considerably to 1.3.
For the figure of hospital beds,Austria underwent the most evident increase, almost three-folding its orginal number of 1.4.The same trend is also noticed in France’s bed ratio,albeit less dramatic.In contrast Sweden remained stagnant at 6.4 before rising to 6.9 in 2000.
As for the typical duration of hospital stays,France and Sweden experienced a minor decrease.Meanwhile,Austria flucuated within the first 10 years and rose back to its orginal value of 18 days in 2000
