The given graph illustrates the amount of waste disposal by using three methods in a European country from 2005 to 2008. It is clear that using method of landfilling was the highest at the beginning of the period but dumping in the sea took the lead last year.
In 2005, about 2000 million tons of waste was disposed using by landfills, that was the maximum at that time, but after that it gradually decreased and reached 1300 million tons of waste. In the next popular method was dumping in sea, it was second highest in 2005 at 1200 million tons but dramatically an increase faced over the period which amounted for approximately 1500 million tons.
Moreover, burning was a method which fluctuated over the period. In 2005, it stayed at 900 million tons of waste then slightly rose until 2006 and reached 1200 million tons but significantly dropped in 2008 and accounted for 900 million tons.
Overall, burning faced a fluctuation over the period, and landfill and burning slightly declined and grew at the given time.
