The bar chart illustrates the volume of waste disposed of by a European country between 2005 and 2008.
Overall, landfill was the most common method of waste disposal in 2005 and 2006, while dumping waste in the sea became the leading method in 2008.
First and foremost, landfill in 2005 had the highest result across all methods and years, with 2,000,000 kilograms. Burning was nearly 900 tonnes, as well as 1,200 tonnes for dumping in the sea. Also, in 2006, landfill recorded the highest tonnes with 1,600, while dumping in the sea in 2005 was over 1,400 tonnes. However, in 2008, the figures changed more: 1,200 tonnes for the method of landfill, and the same as in 2005, both of them were around 900 tonnes, as well as the highest for this year was dumping in the sea at over 1,600 tonnes.
In addition, it can be seen that landfill stayed almost the same from 2005 to 2007, but it decreased in 2008. In contrast, dumping waste into the sea increased steadily over the period. Burning remained stable and did not change much between 2005 and 2008.
