The bar graph depicts the number of boys and girls participating six distint types of sports, namely, tennis, badminton, cycling, swimming, football, and hockey in an English town in 2012.
Overall, it is clear that boys participated in these sports more frequently than girls, exepct swimming and badminton. Football was the most popular sport among boys. Both the boys and the girls were not really interested in hockey.
Additionally, boys participated in three sports, namely, tennis, cycling, football at a higher number than girls. While 60 males participated in football, the number of female participants was far fewer (around 20). In tennis, the number of males who participated was 50, whereas the number of females who played was under 40. Similarly, more males than females cycled approximately 35 and 20. Hockey was the least favorite, only 15 boys and 9 girls played this sport. On the other side, swimming and badminton were females favorite sports, swimming and badminton were favored by 50, 40 girls respectively.
