The line graph illustrates the number of inquiries collated by the Tourist Information office, divided by three modes of communication in a city from January to June 2011.
Overall, it is clearly seen that the number of inquiries by telephone and in person increased, whereas letter/email inquiries showed a reverse pattern. Moreover, phone inquiries initially had the largest number; then, in-person inquiries surpassed it by the end of the period.
Looking first in January, the number of telephone inquiries was the largest at around 900. This was followed by letter/email inquiries, where the number stood at about 750. Meanwhile, in-person inquiries recorded the proportion at around 450 (the lowest figure shown on the graph).
Moving to June, the number of in-person inquiries increased significantly to 1900. Likewise, telephone inquiries showed a similar trend, with the number increasing to around 1600. In contrast, the number of letter/email inquiries decreased to 350.
