The line graph illustrates how many inquiries were sent to the Tourist Information Office via three modes of communication in a particular city from January to June in 2011.
Overall, telephone inquiries were the most common at first, whereas in-person inquiries were the least preferred. It is also clear that both inquiries sent in person and via telephone showed an upward trend, while the number of inquiries received by letter and email had a downward trend.
In January, telephone inquiries had around 900 but slightly dipped to 800 by February. This number steadily increased to 1000 inquiries from March to April before sharply increasing to 1600 by June. In contrast, inquiries made in person started with just over 400 in January. However, this figure experienced dramatic growth, reaching a peak of nearly 2000 inquiries by June, surpassing the figures for email and telephone inquiries.
Meanwhile, there were about 800 inquiries made by letter and email in January, which gradually declined in March with around 700 emails. In the following months, inquiries made by letter and email became the least chosen, continuously dropping to just below 400 in May and remaining stable until June.
