The line graph presents the total number of International tourisits visiting three different areas in a European country from the years 1987 to 2007.
Overall, the data reveals a notable shift in the number of visits each area is getting over the years, with a sharp increase and eventual decrease to the number of toursits visiting the lakes. Meanwhile, the overaseas visitors going to the lakes mountains represented a minor year on year increase.
From the years 1987 to after 1992, visits to the mountains and the lakes increased gradually, reaching over 25 million, when eventually the lakes overtook the mountains as the second most visited location in the country. In this time period. contrary to the other two areas, the coast saw a decline in the visitors, falling to around 35 million after 1992.
Around 1994, the number of visitors to the coast shot up marking a gradual year on year increase in the number reaching over 70 million tourits after 2007. On the other hand, the mountains saw a minor improvement in the total number yearly.
The lakes had the most unstable numbers during this time period where it saw a peak of around 75 million and the lowest was around 50 million in 2007.
