The line graph provides information about the number of foreign tourists to three different areas in a European country from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, the number of tourists increased over the period, regardless of destination. The great number of tourists visited to the coast almost throughout the year.
Focusing on the coast and lake, they both followed a somewhat similar pattern. The number of visitors to the coast started at a staggering 40 thousand in 1987, but this was followed by a slight decrease to just over 30 thousand in 1992. Then this figure rose considerably to around 60 thousand in 1997, before a gradual rise to a staggering 70 thousand in the final year. Around just 10 thousand people travelled to the lake in 1987, but this number grew notably to 30 thousand in 1992. Despite a dramatic rise to about 75 thousand in 2002, the index for the lake declined to just over 50 thousand in 2007, becoming the second most visited place.
As for the mountains, there was a slight change over the period. Starting at 20 thousand, the number of tourists visiting the mountains remained unchanged until 1992. This was followed by a modest fluctuation toward the end of the period, and the figure finished at around 30 thousand visitors.
