Overall, it can be seen that the amount of visitors who came to the UK for three different purposes for holiday was consistently the highest and that for meeting friends and relatives was always the lowest.
Turning to the business data it is evident that the visitors of abroad for this purpose was about 5 million in 1989.This number slightly declined to around 4 million in 1994 but by 2009,it had increased to approximately 7.1 millions.
Looking at the holiday data sets in more detail it is clear that foreign visitors for this purpose stood at 6.5 million in 1989. From 1994 to 1999 the rate of visitor gradually grew to 9 million,which was the highest value on the graph.This figure dropped to around 6.5 million in 2004 then rising to about 9 million in 2009.
Finally,visitors from foreign countries for meeting friends and relatives purposes was about 3.5 million in 1998 .The visitor of the UK had increased by 6 million in 5 year . ( From 1994 to 2009 )
