Overall, initially holiday was the most popular purposes of visitors, while meeting friends and relatives was the least reason for visitors.

In the first year, holiday had a number of about 6.5 millions people, after a significant rise to 9 millions,in 2004 it experienced a sudden drop of 3.5 millions before increasing in 1998. Therefore it was followed by dramatic increasing to 9 millions and broke the visit record again in 2009. In contrast, meeting friend and relatives was initially the least amount in the start, then it experienced a constantly rise and almost threefold the number of visitors in the country, In 2009 it dramaticaly droped to 1 million people.
