The graph illustrates that the number of shops that closed and the number of new shops that opened in a country between the years 2011 and 2018.
Overal the number of closures in total are higher than the number of openings.Also when we look at each year one by one number of closures exceeds the number of openings in every year except the 2011 and 2015.
Number of new openings hit the maximum in the year 2011 where it is slightly over than the 8,000 and there is a rapid decrease in 2012 where the number of it is around 4,000.And there is an increase until the 2014 just before it decreases again in 2015.Between the years 2015 and 2017 numbers of new openings almost same for each year.in 2018 it hits the minimum number in this seven year period.
Number of closures hits it’s maximum in 2013 where there is around 7,000 closed shops and it hits it’s minimum in 2015 where it is less than 1,000.
