The line graph illustrates the figure of students from three countries, namely, the US, the UK and Australia who studied in universities in other countries between 2002 and 2007.
Overall, the highest and most fluctuating pattern was witnessed in the US. While the number of students in Australia remained stable, the UK experienced a downward trend during the same period.
According to the graph, it can be seen that the total of students from the US was the largest compared to other countries (50.000) in 2002. However, after 2002, the quantity of students started to decline until 2004, accounting for nearly 45.000. From 2004, American students’ numbers followed a gradual increase before reaching their starting point, comprising 50.000. At the same time, in 2002, the figure of UK students was 20 times lower than for the USA, comprising 30.000. The quantity of students from the UK remained unchanged until 2003. After this year, the total of British students was continuously decreasing before reaching its lowest point at around 21,000.
Looking at the number of Australian students, it can be seen that the volume remained stable during the whole period, constituting only 10,000.
