Although there were minor fluctuations, overall, the figures of both women and men witnessed an upward trajectories across this timeframe, starting from their lowest points in 1992 and expected to peak by 2006, albeit with varying degrees of growth. Of particular note is female trend, which stood as the frontrunner throughout the period.
in 1992, female’s trend began at only 89000 prior to slightly growing, reaching at 105000 in 1995, declining slowly at 100000 by 1996. In addition, male trajectory has also followed a similar rising pattern, albeit a lower rate, starting just over 70’000 in the first year, after which it experienced a mild increase, settling at approximately 45000 by the year 1996.
From 1996 onwards, the figure of women consistently increased, hitting a peak of just below 150000 by 2007. Additionally, despite an initial decline between 1996 and 1998, men trend then rebounded to reach as much as about 76000 by 2002 before it significantly rose, ending up at just over 75’000 by 2007.
