Overall, what stand out from the graph is that there is a gradual upward trend in the total of museum visitors in National, China, while the visitors number of MET, New York and Edo-Tokyo saw a fluctuation over the period in question. Another interesting point is that Edo-Tokyo museum was the highest visitor in 2000, however, in 2005, it was lower visitors than the others.
Looking at details, as regards National museum, China’s visitors started at above 6 millions. Next, there was a considerable growth over the next three years, at which point it achieved around 11 millions, and it remained stable until 2004. Then the figure experienced a rocket, finishing at just under 16 millions in 2005.
By contrast, the guest numbers of MET museum, New York initiated at around 12 millions, then there was a rapid fall in 2001, and then it remained stable until 2002. In 2003, there was a significant rise over the three period approximately 14 millions. While the visitor numbers of Edo-Tokyo had similar trend.
