Overall, the quantity consumed of low-fat milk increased significantly in 2015, as compared to 1970. The plot for whole milk experienced a clear decline while the other increased dramatically then remained constant in the following years.
In the year 1970, the amount of low fat milk consumed was over 5 gallons. This value rose significanly to just around 10 and 15 gallons in 1980 and 1990, respectively. Further, the figure was a little less than 15 gallons in the years 2000 and 2010. There was a negligible decrease in the value of low fat milk consumption in 2015.
The whole milk consumption experienced a tremendous fall over the years. In 1970, around 25 gallons of this beverage was drunk . The consumption decreased over the given period and reached its minimum value which was just over 5 gallons in 2015.
