The graphs presents the percentage of Australian exports to 4 countries such as Japan, US, China and India from the period 1990 to 2012.
One of the most prominent feature is that the percentage of Australian exports in China increased dramatically than the other countries. Additionally, the percentage of Japan and US is lesser in 2012 compared to 1990. The percentage of India on the other hand, has slowly increased over the period.
The percentage of Japan as shown in the graph, has decreased linearly from almost 22% in 1990 to 20% in 1992. Furthermore, the percentage slowly declined by 5% over the period. The percentage of US has a fluctuating decrease from almost 12% in 1990 to over 7% in 2012. When it comes to India, the percentage slowly increased from around 1% in 1990 to around 7% in 2007 and then dropped slowly from the following year down to 5% in 2012. However, China showed a massive exponential increase in the percentage from almost 1% in 1990 to a whopping 30% in 2012.
In summary, Japan had the highest percentage of Australian exports in 1990 followed by US, China and India. Whereas in 2012, China holds the first spot followed by Japan, US and India.
