The given line graph illustrates proportion of exorts from Australia to four different countries between 1990 to 2012. The nations being compared are Japan, US, China and India.
According to the graph, the majority of exports were to Japan in 1990 which was almost 27% however, it decreased sharply in 1995 and fell at 20%. From 1995, the percentage declined each year gradually and remained constant at approximately 18% from 2010 to 2012. The second highest trade of Australia was with US which was accounted for 12% in 1990. Many fluctuations can be seen every year and it dramatically dropped to 6% in 2010 despite of these fluctuations it continued to rise in 2012 and touched around 7% in 2012.
On the other hand, China and India were the ones with least exports. China grew sharply from just 3% in 1990 to over 28% in 2012. India’s trade trade remained stable from 1990 to 2000 around 2% and increased significantly from 2% to over 6% in 2010. But unlike others the exports to India decreased in 2012 and just remained 5%.
Overall, the exports to other 3 countries apart from India has increased each year with many upward and downward trends.
