Tne chart gives information about the proportion ot temal students in four courses: computer science, physic, medicine and law at a particular university over a period of 45 years from 1970 t 2015.
Generally, the percentage ot women enrolled in low increased dramatically and became the highest proport almost all the period whereas computer science witnessed the lowest percentage of female students. In addition, the figure for phusic and medicine had a tendency to grew over the seriod.
To be specific, the percentages of female students attend computer science and law had reverse patterns. At 1970, the figure for Computer science was the highest at around 35% and the opposite was true for law’s percentage at 5%. The year 1975-2000 recorded a dramatic increase to 95% in the proportion of women enrolled in law, declining to 85% in the next five years and recovered to 100% at the end of the period. The figure for computer science experienced volatility but the general trend was downward. This figure continued to rose significantly and then, peaked at 72% in 1990, then regained its inital number in 2015
In terms of Physic and Medicine, the percentage of female students withessed upward trends. The figure for physic started at 31% and increased slightly by 1% in the subsequent 10 years, soared to 60% in 1990 then grew to 80% in 2015. Nearly a fifth of females studied medicine in 1970. Subsequently, the figure surged exponentially to around 65% in 1990 and finished at over 90% in the final year.
