In 2005, all mobile phone owners (100%) used their phones to make calls, and this figure remained unchanged in 2008 before slightly decreasing to 97% in 2010. Meanwhile, the percentage of users taking photos rose steadily from 65% in 2005 to 70% in 2008, reaching 77% in 2010.
By comparison, sending and receiving text messages experienced a downward trend, falling from 82% in 2005 to 73% in 2008 and further to 68% in 2010. A similar pattern can be seen in audio recording, which decreased from 78% to 75%, and then more significantly to 63% over the same period.
