The line graph illustrates the proportion of people in four age groups who visited the cinema at least once a month from 1984 to 2003.
Overall, it is clear that participants from the 15 to 24 age had the highest percentage of visitors throughout the period. Meanwhile, the group from 35 age and over had the lowest results.
With regard to the highest group of participants, from 1984 to 1992 the number of people climbed consistently. The figures grew significantly over the last 3 years, reaching 58% in 2003. In the second place was the group of children 7-14 years old, development took place in the same way as the group of people 15-24 years. From 1984 to 1998, the percentage climbed slowly, data had changed by 20 percent. Over the last 3 years, the propotion of people rose rapidly by 10%.
In contrast to the highest group, the lowest group included people from 35+ years. Between 1984 and 1988 inclusive, the percentage of people remained stable, about 2 percent. After 1988 the percentage of participants witnessed a modest growth by 7%. Over the last 1,5 year number increased substantially, reaching 13%. Whereas, the group of 25-35 years old was at the third place that stood at 25% in 1998, and the highest percentage was 33%, that did not change fot two years, from 2001 to 2002.
