Overall, it could be seen that the figure for the 25-44, 45-54 and over 75 age groups increased over the period while that of the 55 – 64s witnessed a reverse trend. However, the percentage of young people showed a fluctuation trend. Additionally, the rate of people aged 25 to 44 experienced the most significant growth.
Regarding the increasing categories, the percentage of people belonging to the 25 to 44 age group who attended music concerts constituted 40% at the beginning of the period and continued to grow to roughly 58% in the following 2 years. Subsequently, this figure reached a peak of 70% at the end of the surveyed period. Similarly, the 45 -54 age group accounted for 40% of people attending music concerts by 2010, before plunging to about 30% in 2012, and finished at approximately 47%. Furthermore, the figure for over 75 age brackets stood at only 10 in 2010. After 5 years, it recorded a fluctuation around 20%.
Concerning the other age groups, people in the age range of 16 to 24 constituted the highest percentage in 2010, at approximately 52%, pior to hitting a low of slightly 40% in the following 2 years. However, it recovered and increased to the same percentage in the 2010. Lastly, the figure for the 55-64 age groups accounted for about 25%. Despite a moderate rise to roughly 30% and converging with the 45-54 age ranges in 2012, it dropped to about 20% by the end.
