The line graph illustrates the percentages of employment of two genders aged 18-34 in Australia, in 1976 and 2011.
It is clear that, in both periods the number of male employees was higher compared to their female counterparts’. Moreover, the number of male workers was as high as they were older as opposed to female employees.
In 1976, the percentage of younger adult men consist of approximately 55-60 percent. Contrastly, the percentage of these citizens in the last decade was lower by 10-15 percent. In 1976 and 2011, the number of men workers aged 20-24 was higher by 10%-20%, but by their 26-30th age, the number of workers was around 70% in 1976. Meanwhile, in 2011 this number was lower by 18% which remained by their 30th age. Eventually, the percentages of male employees was high throughout their 30th age.
In 1976 and 2011, the percentages of women employees aged 18 to 22 consists of 53% and 43%. However, by their 23rd-25th ages, workers were lower by 13% in 1976. Meanwhile, the number of female workers in the same age was the same as their younger adult counterparts in 2011. In women workers 28th to 34th ages, their number was lower than 35% in both periods.
