The given graph illustrates infromation about the people who were unemployed in the total labour workforce across nine countries in the two specific years: 1994 ans 2004.
Overall, only in three among of nine countries the percentage of individuals who do not have a job increased. Whereas, in the last six countries the percentage of people who were unemployed has lowered.
Firstly, the unemployed citizens in Ireland were 14.8% and the percentage has decreased to the 4.4% in 2004. It is more than 10% percent which means Ireland has undergone significant changes. The UK’s proportion of unemployed citizens was 9.5% in the 1994 and 4.7% in the 2004. Additionally, Italy, Canada, and Australia showed the chage nearly 3% percent from 1994 to 2004. The USA’s unemployement rate was 6% in 1994 and have been remained the same, the change was less that 1%.
The Poland showed the great increase of unemployment people in labour, in 1994 it was 12.4% while in 2004 its result was 19%. Additionally, Germany’s percentage was also rised, 7% and 9.4% in 1994 and 2004 respectively. Japan, on the other hand stood for 2.7% and 4.5% in 1994 and 2004 respecrively.
