Generally, it is conspicuous that the service industry prevailed in terms of workers more than the others. In addition, manufacturing and agriculture sectors witnessed a decrease while others sector underwent an upward trend.
Looking at the initial year, the percentage of Australian workers in the service industry was highest , at approximately 52% which was about 2 times that of manufacturing sector. The proportion of staff in the service sector increased significantly before reaching its pinnacle at nearly 80% while that of manufacturing ones declined dramatically to 10% ultimately.
Regarding other categories, in 1962, the figure for workers in agriculture was higher than that of construction, at about 11% and 9% respectively. However, the proportion of staff in construction surpassed that of agriculture two times before reaching at 10% which 5 times greater than the percentage of employees in agriculture eventually . The rate of Australian workforce in mining sector began at about 1% and witnessed minimal increased to approximately 3% over 50 years
