The line graph illustrates Australia’s workforce proportion in five separate industries in 1962 and 2012.
Overall, the line graph did not experience many changes except for the figure for services, which accomplished first place throughout the period examined and reached its peak at nearly 80%. Conversely, the figure for the manufacturing industry started in second place, after which it had a declining trend but still held second place afterward.
Around 53% of the services industrial workforce was examined in 1962, after which it saw continuous growth without any sign of stopping, reaching about 79% in 2012. The figures for construction and mining industries’ workforce begin at 3rd and 4th place which is at 10% and approximately 1%, respectively, the same patterns for both as after a half-decade has elapsed but it still remains unchanged, however, construction industrial claim the three place due to the decline in agriculture workforce.
Starting at the 2nd place at about 28%, the manufacturing workforce witnessed a disappointing trend, which means this figure had a shrink over time to hit the bottom at 9%. Similar changes can be seen in the agriculture industry, which starts at just above 10%, followed by a drop to just under 5% at the end of the period.
