The two-pie chart compares the total forest and the total production of the timber in six different regions of the world in 2010, measured in percentage.
Overall, it is quite evident that South America had highest percentage of the total world forest, while Russia produces highest proportion of the total world timber. However, Europe was lowest percentage of both total world forest and production of the timber.
With regards to total world forest, South America had the highest percentage of the total world forest which was 26.5%, while South Africa had almost half percentage of the total forest as compared to South America which was 13.2%. However, Russia had 24.2% and North America had 21.9% of the total world forest. Whereas, Europe ad 5% of the total world forest and Asia/Ocenia had almost double percentage of the total world forest which was 9.2%.
Turning to total production of the world timber, North America produce 12.8% timber of the world, while Russia produces approximately 3 times higher than North America. However, South America and Asia/Ocenia produces same proportion of the total world timber that is 15% and 14.3%. Europe produce 9.2% and South Africa produce 11.2% of the total world timber.
