The graph illustrates the percentage of people visiting to a museum from 1980 up to 2010. Overall, all figures witnessed a levelled off trend, albeit to various degrees with the exception of those 50+ aged people. Moreover, its also worth mentioning that regardless of falling trend, the percentage of people, who are elder than 50, visiting to a museum remained its dominance throughout the period.
Turning to the details, initially, starting with the dominant percentage of roughly 48%, 50+ aged people showed a slight improvement to near 50 in 1985 but this was followed a mere fell in the next years with ending the period its high percentage of about 41 in the whole period. Moreover, being the least important sector, teenagers made up just 20% after which it improved markedly to approximately 25% in 1990 and another mere drop was observed in 1995 after which it remained steady until 2005. In the final year, the percentage of teenagers visiting to a museum consisted of its initial position of 20%.
In the contrast, being the runners-up, people who aged 25-34 and 35-49 started at more or less 38%. However, this discrepancy became even less pronounced in 1990, as both aged people accounted for their worth position of 30%, but this decrease was not lived along in the next years, as in 1995 both of the figures went up, with the former at 40% and the latter at more or less 37% and they just levelled off before dropping their initial percentage of 38%.
