The chart displays the popularity of various types of holiday between 1990 and 2020. Overall, the data for beach and skiing holidays decreased, while that of having a break in the city increased.

Moving to the details, in 1990, the number of travelers who went to the beach and ski resorts during their holidays were around 4.2 and 2.2 million, respectively. The data for both went up and down reaching 4 and about 2.5 million ten years later. Between 2000 and 2010, their numbers stayed almost the same. The number for the former rose to approximately 4.5 million in 2015; however, it dropped by 2 million in the end. Ski holidays also fell to its lowest point at 1 million in 2020.

With regard to city breaks, it stood at 2 million in the initial year. After a million increase, it fell by around half a million in 2000. An insignificant rise followed in the next decade, but it went up gradually until the end.
