The line chart visualized the trend of wild bird population in the United Kingdom from 1970 to 2004 based on population index, starting from Index 100. There are four lines consisting of three species and one for all species.
The overall trend for all species was stable. However, each species had its own trend. The Coastal species had positive trends, meanwhile the rest of two species, which are woodland Species and Farmland species had negative trends.
Specifically, the coastal species rose dramatically from Index 100 to around Index 135 from 1970 to 1986. After 1986, the trend continued to be stable. Meanwhile, Woodland species and Farmland species inclined from 1970 to 1977, however it declined after 1977 until 2004. Wordland species had medium downfall, meanwhile Farmland species had a dramatic downfall. In terms of species, despite Coastal species having the highest population, the species was really low, which is 20 species, implied to homogen species. Meanwhile, Woodland species had the highest species even though the population was below from all species. In addition, Farmland species had the lowest species and lowest population, being endangered species.
