The line graph represents the demographic figures of different kinds of wild birds in the United Kingdom from 1970 to 2004. Overall, although all types of birds experienced modest fluctuations, only Coastal species showed a significantly increasing number throughout the years.
On the one hand, Coastal species began with steady growing figures between 1970 and 1985, accounting for 130%. This species also started to become the highest percentage among others. However, the figure faced a slight fluctuation around 140% to 130% before it peaked at around 131%.
On Woodland species, the percentages started to grow by 10% and became the highest figure among others for two years. Despite minor fluctuations more than 10 years, Woodland species declined gradually to less than 90% by 2004.
Meanwhile Farmland species showed inconsistent figures in the first six years, reaching 110%. Additionally, the number of species faced a sharp decreasing figure approximately by 45% in 1988. This species continued a minor fluctuations trend before falling to 60% in the final years.
