The chart shows the changes of three age groups of population in particular country in the period between 1960 and 2025.
Overall, the group of people who aged between 15 years and 64 years recorded the highest population in the country in all the period, although it decreased at the few last years, while the proportion of people who aged more than 65 years increased steadily over time, becoming the highest group at the end.
In the year 1960 the majority of people were between 15 and 64 years old, recording 55 percent. This figure increased slightly to 70 percent at the year 1970. and remained in this level until the year 2000 when decreased slightly over time, reaching 45 percent at the end.
In contrast, people aging more than 65%, their percentage rose significantly over years. Although it started at the lowest value at 15 percent, then increased to 20 percent in the year 1990, from then jumped dramatically, reaching its peak at 45 percent in the year 2025 to be in the first place with 15, 64 age group.
The group that included children from new births to 14 years followed different pattern, which declined steadily over years. At the beginning it recorded 30 percent, then fell to 20 percent in the year 1990 equal to the group of people aged more than 65 years. The proportion decreased more throughout the remined years, recording the lowest percentage at the end with 10 percent.
