The graph illustrates the population trend seen in India and China from 2000 to present with a prediction ranging till the year 2025.
In comparison to the year 2000, both India and China are predicted to have a higher population in 2025. It must be noted that China’s population in 2000 was 1.25 billion, much higher than India’s in the same year.
However, India follows a steady increase in its poplation trend from beginning with 1 billion in the year 2000, to a peak of 1.6 billion in 2025.
On the other hand, China’s population does increase, from the year 2000 and reaches its peak in 2025, after which it is forecasted to remain stagnant untill 2030, thereafter seeing a decline untill 2050 at 1.4 billion.
Interestingly, in the year 2030, both India and China will have an equal population, with the figure predicted to be marked higher than 1.4 billion but less than 1.5 billion.
