The line chart bellow displays the scale of primary energy sources- petroleum, coal, natural gas – manufactured in the UK, from 1981 to 2000 in measured inenergy units.
Overall petroleum and natural gas scale of production increased signifcantly over the entire time period. In the contrary coal level dramatically decreased.
The petrolium was the most produced in 1981 with around 90energy units and increased sharply to 140 in about 1984, befor declined to approximately 100 energy units in 1991. Then it gradually raised to just over 140 in 2000. Natural gas was the lowest overall scales at the start in 1981 with just below 40 energy units however it slightly increased just over 40 over 9 years before increasing production level dramaticaly to become second biggest produced energy with nearly 100 energy units in 2000.
Coal’s level of manufacture was at around 80 energy units at the begining and it had steep decrease in 1983 to around 40 units, then it increased to just over 60 but this constantly dropped year on year to around 30 energy units.
