The line graph displays information percentage of population aged 65 and over within the time period 1940 to 2040. The unit of measurement is expressed in percentage. Overall, it can be seen that despite various fluctuation, Sweden and USA maintained an upward trend and Japan being the highest.

In 1940, the proportion of population of elderly within 65 years and above in Japan stood below 5% and continued to dip until 2000 where there was a progressive rise from 5% to 10% in 2020 and later peaked in 2040 to nearly 30%.

Sweden and USA proportion of elderly within age 65 and above were below 10% in 1940 but maintained a progressive rise to nearly 15% and 15% respectively. Sweden figure continues to rise to over 20% and dipped to nearly 20% and then peaked to 25% in 2040 while USA dipped to less than 15% and rose to over 20% in 2040
