The graph shows the number of money, spent on flights for 4 different reasons, from 1993 to 2013.
Overall, the graph illusrartes a clear upward trend in the number of expenses of the UK residents flight abroad. The most significant growth occured between 1998 and 2008, while other reasons of travel were steady and didn’t experience such crucial changes.
By 1993, “Holiday” the reason of flights, has been remaining the leadership, with the number of spent money accounted for 9 billion £. And, as it can be seen, since 1998, these number of expenses, experienced the most important blow, when it almost triple the number, it blew from 9 billions to more then 24 ones. Eventhough, the number of expenses had fallen, but it still remained the first place on the graph
Other reasons like: Business, vusit friends or relatives and miscellaneous were steady, and didn’t met such key trend-events. But, they did increase the number of billion £, spent on flights by those reasons. For example: flights by business and the meeting of friends were on the bottom of graph with less than 3 spent billions, but, by 2013, they reached about 5 billions each. However, “miscellaneous” as a reason for flight didn’t reacted at all, and stayed with the least of spent money of list throughout the period.
