The line graph depicts the rate of unemployment from three countries around the year 1990 to 2004. In 1990, UK had the highest unemployment rate at 7 percent compared to USA and Japan. In two years UK successfully decreased the rate to 2,5 percent before gradually inclining until reaching its highest local point during 1996 to 1998. From 1998 to 2004, UK unemployment rate was kept at fluctuating rate.
The USA started the rate rather similar with Japan; around 2-2,5 percent in 1990, and two-times higher in 1992. From 1992 the rate shifted in vary until it reached the highest point in 2000 at 6 percent; the highest among three countries at the year. From the point onward, US keeps its position as the country with the highest unemployment rate.
Japan had the lowest unemployment rate in 1990 with 2 percent, and kept it stable until 1992. After 1992 the rate moved higher until 1996 where they recorded its highest point with 5 percent; the highest during the time. While the other two countries moved at high numbers after 1996, Japan’s unemployment was moving in decline until it reached 1 percent, even lower than 1990.
