The line chart delineates how the exported clothing valued from Bangladesh, measured by US billion dollars, from 1998 to 2012, and the bar chart compares the value of exported clothing across five different destinations, namely the European Union, the USA, Canada, Japan, and Turkey, in the year 2012.
What is most striking when looking at the line chart data is the overall uptick in the value of export volume of clothing in Bangladesh throughout the given timeline. Additionally, it is also worth mentioning for the pie chart that the European Union constituted the highest export value of clothes among all other nations, whereas the figure for Turkey showed a reverse trend.
Looking first at the line chart, the value export profile of clothing in Bangladesh was recorded at nearly 2.5 billion dollars from the beginning, followed by a slight increase to reach a relatively over 5 billion dollars in earnings. It thereafter saw a pronounced upswing to reach a total of exactly 20 billion dollars, representing an eightfold increase from its initial level.
Turning to the pie graph, the European Union was the largest exporter of clothing, comprising of 60% of the surveyed value, which is equivalent to 11,38 billion dollars, which edged out the figure for the United States by 36 percentage points (4.53 billion dollars). In contrast, the most negligible value distribution came from Canada, Japan and Turkey, contributing only 5% (0.87 billion dollars), 2%(0.4 billion dollars), and 1% (0.36 billion dollars), respectively, to the overall exported market in value.
