Overall, it can be seen that acid rain emissions in the UK from transport and communication increased, whereas they decreased with electricity, gas and water supply, other industries and domestic in the UK. Further, the amount of acid rain emissions in the UK with electricity, gas and water supply were consistently the lowest over the entire period.
Looking at the data sets in more detail, it is evident that emissions of UK acid rain stood at about 3.3 million tons in 1991. They fell dramatically to only 0.5 million tons in 2009, which was the lowest decrease on the chart. Other industries were gradually decreased from 2.1 to1.4 million tons between 1990 and 2007. In 2007, Domestic had decreased to just over 0.1 million tons, which is the lowest point on the chart.
Turning to the remaining data sets it is clear that just nearly 0.7 million tons of emissions in the UK from transport and communication in 1991, this number slightly increased to 1 million tons in 2005 and dropped to around 0.8 million tons of 2007.
