The pie charts compare the distribution of world GDP in six regions of the world between 2040 and 2060.
Overall, it is evident that services remained the dominant sector in both charts, although its proportion increased. Meanwhile, agriculture experienced a noticeable change, while remaining segments underwent relatively minor fluctuations.
In 2040, services accounted for 40%, making it by far the most significant segment. This was followed by manufacturing which comprised 31%, while info-com Tech represented a modest share at 15%. Collectively, these three sectors contributed 86% of the total. Meanwhile, energy and agriculture constituted 7% and 4%. By contrast, materials accounted for only 3%, indicating that it made a negligible contribution to the overall distribution in that year.
Turning to 2060, services remained predominant at 41%, despite a slight increase compare to earlier figure, while manufacturing and info-com Tech increased sharply to 33% and 16%. Notably, energy experienced the most pronounced shift falling from 7% to 1%. Meanwhile, agriculture dropped to 5%, whereas materials rose slightly to 4%, suggesting that the pattern remained broadly similar despite some redistribution among the sectors.
