The graphs illustrates the age spread of alcoholic beverages consumers in the USA. The following statistics contains six graphs divided by age, each graph showcases the percentage of drinkers in each age group.
The drinking habits are separated in four categories such as: heavy drinkers, light drinkers, ex-drinkers and never drinkers. The most spead out group is never drinkers which take around 50 per cent of the overall population, followed by light drinkers section consisted mostly of people aged under 55, however, according to the data, closer to the age of 55, people are mostly ex-drinkers or non-drinkers. The data suggests that the amount of heavy drinkers slowly rise from age of 16, peaks at the age group of 45-54 and then falls down accordingly. The most stable section of light drinkers speads out throughout the statistics and avarages at about 20-25 per cent.
Overal, the graph demonstrates the differences of drinking habits of different age groups, where the biggest group is non-drinkers, while out of drinking people, light consumers take the biggest percentile.
