From 2011 to 2012, the quantity of CD sales went down slightly, whereas by 2014, there was a steep decrease. Between 2011 and 2014, the sum of music downloads increased significantly and reached around 45 percent. By 2013, the total percentage of music streams rose marginally, and the rise continued in the following years.
By 2017, the percentage of CD buying dropped steeply, and in 2018, it was approximately 20 percent. After 2014, the number of music downloads decreased dramatically, and in the final year, it was under 30 percent. From 2015 to 2018, demand for streaming rose considerably, and in the last year it was more than 40 percent.
