The above-given bar graph depicts the oil production capacity estimation for different Gulf countries namely Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE from 1990 to 2010.
All the Gulf countries except Qatar show an upward trend. Saudi Arabia’s oil production has always remained at the highest while Qatar’s oil production has remained at the lowest for two decades.
Saudi Arabia shows exponential growth from 8 million barrels of oil produced per day in 1990 to almost 15 million in 2010 while countries like Iran, Iraq, and Kuwait show a gradual increase over the period from 3, 2, and 0.9 million respectively in 1990 to almost 4 million in 2010. It can be seen that the oil produced in the UAE has remained the same for a decade but rose to nearly 4 million by 2010.
Qatar as a country has always produced the least oil and has never exceeded 1 million barrels of oil production per day for two decades.
