The bar chart demonstrates information related to Taiwan Internet users in Age Group over a three-year period starting in 1998 and ending in 2000.
Generally, there were slightly declines in the percentage of 16-30 years and 31-50 years Internet users in Taiwan, while those of under-15 and over-50 witnessed upward trends on the period shown. Additionally, Internet users from 16 to 30 years old consistently accounted for highest propotion among 4 age groups.
In particular, in 1998, people aged 16 to 30 took the largest took the largest propotion of Internet usage with around 52%, which 50 times as high as Internet users under 15, at only 2%. Meanwhile, 41% people using Internet was 31- to 50-years-old, exceeded that of above-50 group about 37%. In one year later, moderate decreases was observed in young adults and senior groups, with the figure being 44% and 39% respectively. In contrast, group belowing the age of 15 and aged 50+ climbed up marginally, at approximately 8% equally.
Similarly, in the last year in the period, the figures for 16-30 age group continued to go off to nearly a half. Then that of people aged 31 to 50 underwent a negligible decrease by 2% while those of younger than 15 and 50 and above experienced gradual rise to hit the peak at 9% and 10% correspondingly.
