Overall, the percentage of women who gave birth to their first child aged below 30 had witnessed a gradual decline, despite a slight fluctuation in the figure of 25-30 women in the three given years. In contrast, it can be seen that there had been a dramatic rise in the figure of women aged above 30. Moreover, 19 to 24 women who gave birth to their first child accounted for the largest proprotion throughout the period of time, whereas over 40 ones remained the lowest in all three given years.
The percentage of women giving birth to their first child aged 19 to 24 peaked at slightly over 60%, which was approximately doubled the figure of under 19 and 25 to 30 women, respectively at around 34% and 36% in 1966. However, 20 years later, these figures witnessed a steady drop at one fought for under 19 women and slightly over one third for 19-24 women, whereas 25-20 women increased slightly to one half.
In 1966, above 30 years old women who gave birth to their first child stood at minor figures. Then, below 40 figures witnessed a steady increase at around 20% for 30 to 34 women, 15% for 34-39 women in 1986, before skyrocketting to 45% and one third respectively in 2006. However, over 40 women slightly dropped at around 2% before doubling to approximately 5% in 2006
