The line graph provides information about the manufacture of fruit in four countries, namely Spain, Turkey, France, and Germany over a 40-year starting from 1970.
It is clear that there was an increase in the fruit production in France and Turkey, while a decrease was seen in the amount of fruit produced in Germany and Spain. In addition, fruit production in Spain consistently had the highest figures throughout the period.
The amount of fruit manufactured in Spain started at 5.8 million tonnes, after which it witnessed a marked rise to reach a peak of 6.1 million tonnes, before ending the period at 5.1 million tonnes. The figures for Germany saw the opposite change between 1970 and 1980, declining moderately from 2.8 million tonnes in 1970 to 2 million tonnes in 1980, however, the number remained stable in the next 10 years before dropping by 0.25 million tonnes in 2010.
There were 2 million tonnes in the amount of fruit produced in Turkey, with a subsequent growth gradual to 2.8 million tonnes in 1990, and a final rise to 3.5 million tonnes in 2010. The figures for France saw a similar change between 1970 and 1990, growing noticeably from 1.1 million tonnes to 2.1 million tonnes, followed by a significant drop to 1.8 million tonnes, before rising enormously to 2.8 million in the final year of the period examined.
