The line graph illustrates that, how amount and sorts of fast food consumed by teenagers underwent changes in Australia between 1975 and 2000.
It is immediately obvious that, the number of consumption of fish and chips saw a downward trend from 1975 to 2000, while the figures for pizza and hamburgers experienced upward trends at the same period of time.
As can be seen, in 1975, younger generation were keen on eating fish and chips, and they used to eat this meal 100 times a year. Although it decreased slightly by 18 times per year from 1975 to 1980, it recovered and reached almost 97 times a year in 1985. Furthermore, the number of times that teenagers consumed fish and chips had a considerable decline of roughly 61 times per year for 15 consecutive years, and reached under 40 times a year in 2000.
According to the data, less than 10 times a year, the young eaters went to the fast food restaurants to eat pizza and hamburgers in 1975. However, the figures for hamburgers and pizza went up rapidly, and reach nearly 84 times a year in 1980 and 1995, respectively. In addition, the number of times eaten for pizza remained stable at 84 times per year between 1995 and 2000. Moreover, the figure for hamburgers peaked at 100 times a year, and then, stayed static from 1995 to 2000.
