Overall, Europe had the highest income from tourism. Asia and Pacific increased a lot, especially after 1990. Americas also grew but more slowly. Africa had the lowest income and changed very little.
In Europe, tourism income was low in 1960 but started growing fast after 1985. By 2010, it was the highest, over 900 billion US dollars. The Americas had a slow and steady increase. From 1960 to 2010, tourism income went up and reached 300 billion US dollars at the end.
Asia and Pacific started with low tourism income but grew very fast, especially after 1990. In 2010, it was around 400 billion US dollars, more than the Americas. Africa had the smallest tourism income. It grew a little but stayed under 100 billion US dollars for the whole period.
In conclusion, Europe had the most tourism income. Asia and Pacific grew the fastest. Americas increased slowly, and Africa had the least income.
