The sharp fall in number continued reaching a low of only 50 people by 2005. Meanwhile, tennis players started at 150 participants in 1985, these figures rose to 200 in 1995, crossing over with rugby that year. However, the number of tennis players rose gradually until finally surpassing rugby reaching approximately 220 by 2005.
Basketball, on the other hand, remained relitavely stable at around 80 people, despite that basketball overtook rugby and became the second most popular sport. badminton followed a similar trend at 50 people throughout.
